AGTA Spectrum Awards 2023

AGTA Spectrum Awards 2023 | Dono della Valle

dono della valle

During the 2023 Spectrum Awards competition, the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) honored Adam Neeley, in collaboration with Stephen Avery (cutter), with a Spectrum Award, Evening Wear – 3rd Place, for his earring design “Dono della Valle”.

These striking earrings showcase a magnificent matched pair suite of tourmaline totaling 47.47 carats and tanzanite totaling 12.58 carats, cut by master lapidary Stephen Avery. During the 2021 Cutting Edge Awards competition, the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) honored Adam Neeley with two AGTA Spectrum Awards™, including “Best Use of Color” and “3rd Place Pairs and Suites”, for the Tourmaline & Tanzanite gemstone suite.

The concept for the front of the earrings was a sleek, modern form to put gradient colors on display and allow the stones to shine. The gems vivid colors and impeccable cut proved the perfect complement to SpectraGold™, Adam’s signature color gradient material. For the back of the earrings, an unexpected treat of dazzling diamonds adorn the exterior gallery (see image below).
