AGTA Spectrum Awards 2025
amaris
During the 2025 Spectrum Awards competition, the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) honored Adam Neeley with a Spectrum Award, Business/Day Wear, 2nd Place, for his earring design Amaris.
The Amaris earrings embody the harmony of innovation and beauty. Crafted in SpectraGold™, Adam’s signature gradient alloy that seamlessly transitions from warm yellow to cool white gold, these striking earrings feature a radiant ombré of vivid green tsavorite garnets (16.0 cttw) and brilliant white diamonds (3.64 cttw).
Adam began by hand-fabricating two identical yet mirrored disks of SpectraGold™, the foundation of a design that would ultimately require over 200 hours of meticulous hand-crafted labor. He shaped each disk into a soft, billowing form that domes gently near the earlobe, adorned with deep green tsavorite garnets that gradually fade into white diamonds as the curve sweeps gracefully behind the ear.
Each gemstone was chosen not only for its precise hue but also for its exact size, allowing for hand assuring every setting into a honeycomb pattern, creating a tightly woven mosaic of light and color. Shaped by over twenty-five years of experience in design, goldsmithing, and gemstone artistry, the earrings embody a quiet sophistication and balance that speaks to the refinement of a practiced hand.

“They were truly a labor of love. I wanted to paint an ombré using gemstones and metal as my palette. It took more than six months to gather the 416 tsavorite garnets in five subtle shades to achieve the perfect fade from green into white diamond. The result is a luminous movement, light flowing as if the piece itself were alive.” — Adam Neeley
