Laguna Beach Independent | LBAA Artist of the Year



In an article published April 25, 2025, in the Laguna Beach Independent, writer Clara Beard covered the 17th Annual Art Star Awards, where local jewelry designer and gemologist Adam Neeley was named 2025 Artist of the Year. The recognition, presented by the Laguna Beach Arts Alliance (LBAA), honored Neeley’s outstanding contributions to the Laguna Beach artist community and his continued commitment to elevating the decorative arts.
During the ceremony held on the evening of Wednesday, April 23rd, Adam received the prestigious Louie Award, a sculpture created by renowned Laguna Beach artist Louis Longi. The LBAA highlighted Adam’s groundbreaking exhibition Modern Alchemy at the Laguna Art Museum, where he was featured as the first decorative art exhibitor in the museum’s history, a milestone moment for both Adam and the Laguna Beach arts scene.
In his heartfelt remarks, Neeley thanked the Laguna Art Museum’s team and board of trustees for their vision and support.

Before the ceremony, guests walked the KXFM 104.7 red carpet, where nominees and attendees were interviewed in celebration of the city’s thriving creative community.
