Although rare for American goldsmiths, Adam learned to alloy in the European tradition early in his career, which activated his creativity and curiosity about gold formulae. Alloying is the process of combining pure gold with other metals. This is done in order to introduce some desired property to the resulting alloy, like color or hardness. For more than a decade, pioneering gold alloys in new colors and with gradient characteristics has served as a stimulating challenge and a point of continual inspiration for Adam. After countless hours experimenting with different recipes, Adam found the perfect proportions to yield RevaGold™ with its deep and vivid crimson color.
